This article identifies common elements between Pierre Gonnord photography and paintings by Velazquez. The aim is to check how two artists from different eras and with different means of expression may come to build their own universe using the same language. The analysis methodology verifies elements that differentiate and unite the two artists at the same time, times and means of completely different expression
