A unidade curricular de Temas da História e Geografia de Portugal, do mestrado em Ensino do 1.º
Ciclo do Ensino Básico (CEB) e de Português e História e Geografia de Portugal no 2.º CEB, da Escola
Superior de Educação de Lisboa, tem como principais objetivos de aprendizagem o aprofundamento,
o estudo e análise de temas do Meio social, a partir da História e Geografia de Portugal (HGP); o
reconhecimento das potencialidades da história local/regional e da geografia dos lugares para o
estudo/investigação da HGP; o desenvolvimento de técnicas e procedimentos de investigação em
História e Geografia; e a conceção e planificação de projetos de investigação, a partir de temas da
História e Geografia, com um enfoque local.
Os estudantes são convocados a desenvolver um trabalho de pesquisa que parta das potencialidades
de alguns temas e dos recursos patrimoniais que o Meio oferece. O projeto de investigação que aqui
se apresenta tem como tema as feiras medievais e procurou compreender a sua importância
espácio-temporal na HGP, bem como a sua recriação na atualidade, à luz de um quadro conceptual
crítico da patrimonialização enquanto ‘invenção da tradição’. A partir da investigação feita em torno
destas questões, que em termos metodológicos recorreu a pesquisa bibliográfica, a trabalho de
campo e ao questionário, fez-se uma proposta de preparação e recriação de uma feira medieval.
Neste texto, expõe-se a questão de partida, bem como a identificação e caracterização do problema,
em que se explicitará as questões secundárias e a metodologia adotada. Far-se-á um enquadramento
teórico, com o desenvolvimento de alguns conceitos-chave e apresenta-se uma proposta de
atividades planificadas com o objetivo de trabalhar as feiras históricas numa turma do 1º CEB.
The curricular unit of Themes of History and Geography of Portugal, of the master degree in Teaching of the 1st Cycle of Primary Education and of Portuguese Language and History and Geography of Portugal in the 2nd Cycle of Primary Education, in Superior Education School of Lisbon, has as main learning objectives the deepening, study and analysis of themes of the social environment, based on the History and Geography of Portugal (HGP); the recognition of the potential of local / regional history and the geography of places for the study / investigation of HGP; the development of research techniques and procedures in History and Geography; and the design and planning of research projects, based on themes of history and geography, with a local focus. Students are invited to develop a research project based on the potential of some themes and the heritage resources that the environment offers. The research project presented here has as its theme the medieval fairs and sought to understand its spatio-temporal importance in the HGP, as well as its re-creation today based on a critical conceptual framework of patrimonialization as "invention of tradition". Based on the research carried out around these questions, which in methodological terms resorted to bibliographical research, field work and questionnaire, a proposal was made to prepare and recreate a medieval fair. In this text, we present the starting point, as well as the identification and characterization of the problem, which will explain the secondary issues and the methodology adopted. A theoretical framework will be present, with the development of some key concepts and a proposal of planned activities with the objective of working the historical fairs in a class of the 1st Cycle of Primary Education.
