Esta dissertação propõe-se ser um contributo para o novo fenómeno dos sem-abrigo imigrantes, alertando para a necessidade de se elaborarem projetos sociais para dar resposta às necessidades desta população muito específica.
Tomou-se o Projeto Rua da Esperança, promovido pelo Serviço Jesuíta aos Refugiados, que aqui se discute como exemplo de trabalhos que se poderiam vir a fomentar na relação com esta população.
Para a elaboração deste estudo propusemo-nos aprofundar conhecimentos sobre a realidade dos sem-abrigo imigrantes evidenciando o valor dos projetos sociais que no âmbito do Terceiro Setor podem ser implementados e constituir-se em respostas ajustadas às necessidades destas populações.
This paper proposes a reflection on a new phenomenon, the homeless immigrants, warning of the need to develop social projects to meet the very specific needs of this population. We took up the Project “Rua da Esperança”, sponsored by the Jesuit Refugee Service, which is discussed here as an example of work that could eventually foster the relationship with this population. To prepare this study we proposed to deepen knowledge about the reality of homeless immigrants highlighting the role of social projects in the Third Sector can be implemented and be adjusted in response to the needs of these populations
