Resumo(s)
Este relatório decorre da experiência de estágio no Centro Cultural de Belém e
pretendemos, em primeiro lugar, apresentar os desafios que nos foram propostos ao longo deste estágio, realizado numa das maiores instituições culturais do país. Apresentadas a missão e a estrutura do Departamento de Comunicação e Relações Públicas, são descritos detalhadamente as funções e os objectivos que nos foram propostos nesse espaço de trabalho. A partir da apresentação destes dados, acentuámos a pertinência do estudo dos média e das estratégias de marketing e publicidade desenvolvidas para a captação dos públicos, de modo a podermos reflectir mais profundamente sobre os conceitos e temáticas aprendidos ao longo do período de estágio. Para além dos média que constituem a esfera dos emissores culturais, pensamos ainda os conceitos inerentes ao público, isso é, a massa de receptores das mensagens produzidas pelo processo criativo da comunicação. Deste modo abordamos temas tão complexos e abstractos quanto os de experiência estética, autonomia e função social das artes, sociedade de consumo, captação e criação de públicos, terminando por fim com a reflexão que, no fundo, atravessa todo o relatório e que indicia a interdependência estabelecida em torno dos conceitos de Comunicação e Cultura na sociedade contemporânea.
The present report results from the the training experience at the Belém Cultural Centre, and it’s primary goal is to showcase the challenges presented throughout the placement in one of the country’s top cultural institutions. After a description of the mission and structure of the Department of Communication and Public Relations there is a detailed account of the task and targets I was given. Following on from these aspects, we focus on the importance of the study of the media, as well as marketing and advertising campaigns created to reach audiences, so as to reflect more extensively on the concepts and themes studied during the training period. Besides the media as a means of communicating culture, it was necessary to examine the concepts related to the public itself, that is, those for whom the messages that result from the process of creative communication are intended. In this way, a variety of complex and abstract topics are studied, such as the aesthetic experience, the autonomy and social function of the arts, the consumer society, procuring and creating audiences, culminating in a reflection that encompasses the whole report and points to the interdependence of concepts such as Communication and Culture in contemporary.
