Projeto de agroturismo na Quinta da Boavista no concelho de Mafra

O objetivo principal deste trabalho é delinear e fundamentar um projeto de Agroturismo, a ser implementado numa Quinta do concelho de Mafra, na qual se pretende alterar a tipologia de alojamento existente, de Alojamento Local para Agroturismo. Face a isso, a dissertação está organizada em quatro partes.
Como primeiro ponto, procedeu-se a uma revisão bibliográfica sobre o tema do Turismo em Espaço Rural, e consultou-se a legislação relevante de modo a identificar a tipologia de empreendimentos previstos e o agroturismo em particular.
No segundo ponto, caraterizou-se a Quinta da Boavista, a sua história e os atributos que justificam a instalação deste Projeto. Como reforço da proposta faz-se a caraterização socioeconómica das duas regiões turísticas envolventes: Ericeira e Mafra.
De seguida e como terceiro ponto, caraterizaram-se as atividades agrícolas que se desenvolvem na Quinta, os usos do solo e a organização do espaço. O projeto de Agroturismo apresentado baseia-se numa nova tipologia de alojamento; utilização de novos espaços e restruturação dos atuais; criação de novas atividades com uma reorganização das existentes (operações agrícolas começarem a ter uma componente de animação turística), tendo as preocupações de conforto, sustentabilidade, economia e estética e a viabilidade económica do Projeto.
Por último, estabeleceram-se diretrizes para uma estratégia de Marketing para a promoção, análise e segmentação de mercado da Boavista, ou seja, de todas as atividades, produtos e tipo de alojamento existentes. Utilizando novos recursos e ferramentas para a promoção da Quinta da Boavista.
A tendência ao aumento da procura deste tipo de alojamento na região, valoriza e reforça este projeto, que concilia agricultura com o turismo. A implementação da proposta está, contudo, condicionada ao recurso a programas ou apoios no investimento inicial.
The main objective of this work is to outline and base an Agrotourism project, to be implemented in a Quinta in the municipality of Mafra, in which it is intended to change the existing accommodation typology, from Local Accommodation to Agrotourism. In view of this, the dissertation is organized into four parts. As a first point, a bibliographic review was carried out about Rural Tourism, and the relevant legislation was consulted to identify the type of planned undertakings and agrotourism. In the second point, Quinta da Boavista is characterized, its history and the attributes that justify the installation of this Project. As a reinforcement of the proposal, the socio-economic characterization of the two surrounding tourist regions is made: Ericeira and Mafra. Then, and as a third point, the agricultural activities carried out on the Quinta, the uses of the soil and the organization of space were characterized. The Agrotourism project presented is based on a new type of accommodation; use of new spaces and restructuring of current ones; creation of new activities with a reorganization of existing ones (agricultural operations begin to have a component of tourist entertainment), considering comfort, sustainability, economy and aesthetics and the economic viability of the Project. Finally, guidelines were established for a Marketing strategy to promote Boavista, that is, all activities, products, and existing types of accommodation. Using new resources and tools to promote Quinta da Boavista. The trend towards increased demand for this type of accommodation in the region values and reinforces this project, which reconciles agriculture with tourism. The implementation of the proposal is, however, conditional on the use of programs or support for the initial investment.
