Este documento de trabalho introduz dois indicadores da acessibilidade do espectáculo do futebol — concentração regional e distância média entre as localidades da sede dos clubes participantes num torneio — e dois indicadores da sua competitividade — um indicador da competitividade global baseado nos resultados de todos os participantes e um indicador da superioridade do vencedor baseado na diferença do seu desempenho em relação ao do seu principal rival. Esses indicadores são ilustrados com o Campeonato Nacional Português da 1ª divisão.
This working paper introduces two indicators of acessibility of football — regional concentration and average distance between the places of the origin of the teams participating in a tournament — and two indicators of its competitiveness — an indicator of global competitiveness based on the results of all participants and an indicator of the superiority of the winner based on the difference of its performance compared to the one of its main rival. These indicators are illustrated with the Portuguese First League.
