Abstract(s)
In this paper the main issue is the Foreign Direct Investment (IDE) being Portugal the source and destination of it in the period after the adhesion in the European Community. Firstly we analysed by he Global Fluxes by: kind the operation by sector of activity and by countries/zones of source and destination. The most important conclusion is: the explosion of the incoming capital in Portugal in the post-adhesion period, corresponding to an increase in the outcoming fluxes; the strong external disinvestment verified in 1995, 1996: an concentration of the IDE fluxes as “loans and supplyments”. The conclusions are pointing up the necessity of making a profound study using a more desagregated and if possible crossed analysis with the study of more concisely cases.
