Neste ensaio a casa é o símbolo e o conceito que orienta esta coleção de imagens de um bairro lisboeta. São retratos de casas sufocadas. Ninguém lá vive nem ninguém lá pode viver. Não servem de abrigo. Não servem de armazém. Não servem de pouso para os pombos. São túmulos. As portas sem fluxos e janelas sem vidro aprisionam os odores e as vergonhas da promessa do impossível. São edifícios mortos e esterilizados pela crise da fantasmagórica ideia da propriedade privada.
In this essay the house is the symbol and the concept that guides this collection of images of a Lisbon neighborhood. These are portraits of suffocated homes. Anyone lives there and anyone can do it. It not serve as a shelter. Neither serve as a warehouse. They are not a landing for the pigeons. They are tombs. Their door with no flow and no windows without glasses trap odors and shames of the promise of the impossible. They are dead and sterilized buildings by the ghostly idea of private property crisis.
