Processos de mudança em Portugal e especificamente na região alentejana

From the analysis of structural development of agriculture in Europe, this study
seeks to highlight the position of Portugal in this evolution, based on the Model
of Innovation and Induced Change, which seeks to identify the determining
forces of the process of change and the reason that justifies them.
After demonstrating the process of change in Portugal in the European context,
the particular region of Alentejo was studied. This was accomplished using the
available data in terms of production systems and considering the development
of the main crops, some of which are of tropical origin, according to the data of
production and productivity.
The most successful cases were identified and evaluated in the prospect of
induced changes on the supply side and demand. Indeed it appears that the
most successful cases in the Alentejo region are corn and wine, both crops with
very significant developments for both technological change and the behavior of
the market, confirming the hypothesis of induced innovation in a clear form on
the demand side .--------------------------------------------A partir da análise da evolução estrutural do sector agrícola na Europa,
procura-se evidenciar a posição de Portugal nessa evolução, tendo por base o
Modelo de Inovação e Mudança Induzida, em que se procura identificar as
forças determinantes do processo de mudança e a racionalidade que as
justifica.
Depois de evidenciar o processo de mudança de Portugal no contexto europeu
procurou-se estudar uma região específica – O Alentejo. Utilizaram-se os
dados possíveis do ponto de vista dos sistemas produtivos e analisou-se a
evolução das principais culturas, algumas das quais de origem tropical, em
função dos dados de produção e produtividade.
Identificam-se e avaliam-se os casos de maior sucesso face à perspectiva de
mudanças induzidas pelo lado da oferta e da procura. De facto verifica-se que
os casos de maior sucesso na região Alentejo são o milho e a vinha, ambas as
culturas com evoluções muito significativas quer pela mudança tecnológica
quer pelo comportamento do mercado, confirmando a hipótese de inovação
induzida de forma clara pelo lado da procura.
