| dc.description.abstract | This short paper intends to address the role of graphic medicine to communicate research findings and help create effective interventions with Health Care Professionals (HCPs). Graphic medicine has been widely recognised as an effective health communication tool (Singhal 2002), by using sequential visual storytelling to represent health-related experiences (King 2017). This specific form of graphic narrative in the context of health-related situations (Green 2015) has been applied to patients, caregivers and also to HCPs for educational purposes (de Rothewelle 2018). Whereas some studies have shown the importance of graphic medicine to build empathy and communication skills for HCPs, no studies to date acknowledged the role of graphic medicine in increasing empathy and enhancing an effective and fruitful communication between HCPs and vaccine hesitant parents. | pt_PT |
