Abstract(s)
Este estudo procura reconstituir a acção de três economistas espanhóis em Lisboa nos anos do segundo pós guerra e esclarecer o seu contributo para o processo de modernização das ideias económicas teóricas e metodológicas então desencadeado em Portugal, designadamente no campo da economia quantitativa.
Para além dos aspectos mais concretos e imediatos são sugeridas algumas condições gerais do relacionamento entre duas comunidades científicas semi-periféricas no âmbito da ciência económica mundial.
“Spanish economist on the process of modernization of economic ideas in Portugal (1945-1959)” - This paper aims at revisiting the action of three Spanish economists in Lisbon in the post World War II years and to assess their contribution to the process of modernization of the theoretical and methodological economic ideas, which had then begun, specially in what concerns the field of quantitative economics. Beyond some concrete and immediate aspects, the general background of the relationship of the two scientific communities, semi-peripheric in the context of the world economic science, is put forward.
