Respondendo aos objectivos que presidem a esta iniciativa, o trabalho visa analisar os meios, vias e trajectos em relação aos quais se possui documentação de período romano. Depois de algumas reflexões gerais e considerações de natureza metodológica, apresentam-se os vestígios epigráficos pertinentes ao tema que se incluem verosimilmente no âmbito do ager Olisiponensis. Esta apresentação é acompanhada de um breve enunciado dos problemas que levantam estas epígrafes e das questões que colocam à definição dos percursos principais. Analisa em particular o troço inicial da via que ligava Olisipo a Scallabis, especialmente pelo facto de dispormos de um número substancial de miliários que ajudam a determinar uma parte do seu percurso. Coloca-se igualmente a questão muito debatida da estação viária de Ierabriga, que tanta controvérsia tem suscitado.
This paper aims to analyse the roads and routes of the ager Olisiponensis as documented in the Roman period. After some general reflections and considerations on methodological issues, the epigraphic evidence discovered within the boundaries of the territory of Olisipo is presented. This presentation is followed by a brief discussion of the problems raised by these inscriptions, mostly the issues regarding the principal Roman roads of this region. Particular attention is paid to the initial section of the road linking Olisipo and Scallabis, due to the fact that a substantial number of milestones have survived, which help to determine in part the route it took. There also arises the much debated question of the road station of Ierabriga, which has caused so much controversy.
