Avaliação de algumas provas serológicas na bilharziose após o tratamento

São avaliadas algumas provas serológicas, imunofluorescência, imunoelectroforese e tumefacção das cercárias) em 13 doentes de bilharziose, em que fotam efectuadas antes do inicio do tratamento, no fim deste
e nuns casos até aos 8 meses e noutros até 1 ano, com especial incidência no 3.° e 6.° mês após o tratamento.
Conclui-se que a seguir ao tratamento tem interesse efectuar novas provas visto que algumas podem positivar ou aumentar a sua intensidade, como um sinal da eficácia da terapêutica; aos 3 meses, em geral mantêm-se positivas só sendo mais frequentes os resultados negativos a partir dos 6 meses.
Some serologícal tests (immunodiffusion, immunofluorescence, immunoelectrophoresis and Cercarien Hüllen Reaktion) were analysed in 13 bilharziasis patients before and just after treatment and periodically for 8 or 12 months. We conclude that just after treatment some tests become stronger if the treatment was efficient, at 3 months most ot the tests are stiIl positive and only after 6 months the negative results become mote frequent.
