Abstract(s)
This paper focuses on the participation of António Alfredo (1932-2001) in designing public spaces in Olivais Sul, Lisbon (1963-1966). This was an unprecedented experience, not only because it provided the conditions for an artist to work within a multidisciplinary team, designing spaces for the enjoyment of ordinary citizens, but because the participation of this artist did not take the form of either sculpture or painting. It was his sensitivity that was sought to be incorporated into the public space project
