Indicadores físicos da produção das indústrias transformadoras em Portugal

O presente documento de trabalho do GHES reúne elementos estatísticos sobre indicadores físicos de produção das indústrias transformadoras em Portugal que não puderam ser incluídos na colectânea de estatísticas históricas portuguesas publicada pelo Instituto Nacional de Estatística por razões de extensão. A sua disponibilização pretende ser mais um contributo para o que foi o objectivo da compilação dessa colectânea: colocar à disposição dos interessados no estudo da história económica de Portugal um instrumento de trabalho que possa facilitar a pesquisa e consulta da informação estatística existente numa perspectiva de tão longo prazo quanto possível. As informações de base sobre os dados estatísticos e a bibliografia disponíveis em relação à indústria transformadora podem ser encontrados na secção D do capítulo 5 da referida colectânea, da responsabilidade do professor Manuel Lisboa da Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
This GHES working paper gathers statistical data on physical indicators of manufacturing production in Portugal. These data were not included in the volumes - of Portuguese Historical Statistics published by the Instituto Nacional de Estatística because of their extension. It has the same purpose of those volumes: to increase the availability of more sistematic information on this topic to those interested in the study of the economic history of Portugal in a long run perspective. Basic information on the available statistical data and bibliography concerning manufacturing may be found in section D of chapter 5 of the above mentioned volumes. This section was edited by professor Manuel Lisboa of the Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
