The purpose of this communication is to present the process of creation, the conditions, and the technical and aesthetic choices of the television documentaries produced by Amylton de Almeida (AA) for TV Gazeta, a news channel from Vitória (ES), Brazil. AA is a journalist, writer, playwright, filmmaker and film critic. The research is part of a regional locus centered on the production of AA, held in the decades of 1970-1980, when eight documentaries have been made. This communication will discuss in more detail the production of the documentary, “Place of all poverty”, which obtained the highest rebound, with the problems portrayed and the big media impact images
