O presente ensaio tenta explorar o sentido da viagem no filme O Palhaço (2011), de Selton Mello, procurando observar o percurso efetuado por Pangaré na busca pela sua identidade. Assim, o objetivo deste breve estudo é compreender quais as transformações que o protagonista sofre ao longo da sua jornada, ao mesmo tempo que é feita uma análise deste filme enquanto um road movie contemporâneo.
This essay addresses the theme of the journey in the film The Clown (2011) from the director Selton Mello, by analyzing Paganré’s search for his identity. Thus, the purpose of this brief study is to understand the changing that occurs in the protagonist while travelling and, at the same time, to explore this film as a contemporary road movie.
