Resumo(s)
This paper tries to investigate the sense of memory present in the drawings and artist's books of Emanuel Monteiro. Starting from the working documents, the materials and processes used by the artist, this text draw attention to water and the construction of the drawing's background. In this aqueous medium we perceive the construction of a mnemonic field. This field is associated with the ideas of Pierre Schneider and Walter Benjamin, as regards the background and the graphic order respectively
