Esta dissertação analisa os mecanismos de ajuda humanitária da União Europeia e o seu papel em Moçambique, no contexto pós-desastre do ciclone Idai que decorreu na região da Beira e zonas circundantes. O meio ambiente ainda está sob ameaça, e seus impactes afetam a todos e, de forma particularmente gravosa os países em desenvolvimento. As soluções necessárias para minimizar os impactes dos desastres, são as fases do ciclo do gerenciamento de desastres. Nos últimos 20 anos, Moçambique apresenta uma tendência crescente de desastre naturais. Para analisar este estudo, usou- se a base de dados de EM-DAT (CRED). A EU é um ator global incontornável em termos de prestação de apoio humanitário.
This dissertation analyzes the European Union's humanitarian aid mechanisms and their role in Mozambique, in the post-disaster context of the Idai cyclone that took place in the city of Beira and surrounding areas. The environment is still under threat, and its impacts affect everyone, particularly developing countries in a particularly serious way. The solutions needed to minimize the impacts of disasters are the phases of the disaster management cycle. Over the past 20 years, Mozambique has shown an increasing trend of natural disasters. To analyze this study, the EM-DAT (CRED) database was used. The EU is a main global player in terms of providing humanitarian support.
