| dc.description.abstract | The paper conducts an analysis of the treatment of Procris’ and Cephalus’ myth by the commentary known as Mythographus Homericus (MH). The figure of Procris, a marginal character in the Homeric poems, becomes the main figure of the MH’s ἱστορία and a negative exemplum of a wife. The state of text, the comparison to other Imperial versions and the possible context of use of the MH, suggest that some variants in the text could be conscious choices to adapt the myth to its readership. | pt_PT |
