Resumo(s)
No séc.
In the 20th century, in some Mediterranean countries, the possibility of using flowering meadows in urban green spaces, parks and gardens started to be discussed in order to create and restore natural landscapes and as an alternative to lawns. Flowering meadows, communities of herbaceous species of spontaneous vegetation, are very well adapted to the site and offer economic and ecological advantages and generate sustainable landscapes with biodiversity. The Gonçalo Ribeiro Telles Park is a public park located in Lisbon, which integrates flower meadows served as field of study of this dissertation. In particular, in the practical phase it was verified by sampling that there is little diversity of species and that many of the species sown did not develop while others without being sown ended up appearing. As for the survey carried out, it was considered that some people recognized the meaning and importance of flowering meadows and would like to see them in green spaces. Therefore, it is understood that it is necessary to create this type of landscape with flowered meadows in green spaces because promotes a designing an aesthetically appealing space, it will also be important in the future to create sustainable spaces that require little maintenance due to the climate change we are experiencing.
