The format of therapy has been changing, as a result of scientific and technological development, and digital media are currently a tool that facilitate contact between therapist and patient. The use of mobile applications in therapy has been described in the literature as potentially enriching the therapeutic process; however, there is still a need to explore the perceptions of psychologists about the recommendation of mobile health (m-health) applications as a support to therapy. This study presents a qualitative analysis of a set of interviews with cognitive-behavioral psychologists, allowing the topic to be explored from different angles. The thematic analysis of the data highlighted five main themes: Reasons, Decision Making, Impact Perception, Strategies to Increase Receptivity and General Recommendations. The data suggest a marked uptake of m-health tools as benefits are perceived at the client, therapeutic progress and therapeutic alliance level. In addition, they allow a greater understanding of the therapists' needs, as well as facilitate the drawing of guidelines for the use of applications in therapy.
