| dc.description.abstract | The utilisation of exogenous enzymes in broilers diets makes it possible for barley that has an anti-nutritional factor to be used. This anti-nutritional factor is the β-glucan, a water-soluble non-starch polysaccharide. With the purpose of studying the enzymatic supplementation five barley based diets treatments were assigned, C- the control treatment without enzyme supplementation, 33 H1 and 100 H1 treatments that had the modular enzyme GH26-GH5 (β-glucanase – Cellulase) and 33 H2 and 100 H2 that had de modular enzyme GH26-GH5-CBM11 (β-glucanase – Cellulase – carbohydrate-binding module).To evaluate the effects of the enzymes we looked at the performances of the animals and the viscosity in vitro and in vivo were analyzed. Also the enzymatic activity and the enzymes stability were analyzed in the various components of the digestive tract. The results didn’t showed improvements in the birds performances fed on diets with enzyme supplementation when compared with birds fed on diets not supplemented with exogenous enzymes. It is suggested that the enzymes effects wasn’t evident because the concentration of the β-glucans in the barley was too low and the enzymatic concentration was too high and so the effect of the CBM wasn’t verified. | en |
