Este artigo propõe-se analisar a obra poética da poetisa portuguesa Judith Teixeira, tendo como ponto de partida o mito da Medusa. Far-se-á, primeiramente, uma revista em torno das implicações ideológicas que envolvem este mito grego, fundador de certas noções qualificativas do feminino, recorrendo a autores como Pierre Grimal, Jean Chevalier, Sigmund Freud entre outros. Num segundo momento, identificar-se-á como, e com que dinâmica, a autora assume em sua poesia laivos medusianos.
In this article we intended to analyze the poems of the Portuguese poetess Judith Teixeira, having in mind the myth about Medusa as a starting point of our reflections. Therefore, will be done, firstly, a revision concerning the ideological implications involving this Greek myth, founder of certain notions about woman and the femininity, recurring to authors such as Pierre Grimal, Jean Chevalier, Alain Gheerbrant, Sigmund Freud, among others. In order to perceive, subsequently, its dynamics and how the author assumes Medusa-like tone in her poetry.
