Pretende-se contribuir para a diminuição da exclusão social e o aumento do acesso ao conhecimento desenvolvendo-se diversos conceitos e experiências práticas através de um estudo de caso, realizado no Museu Gulbenkian e Centro de Arte Moderna José de Azeredo Perdigão com um grupo de pessoas com deficiência visual, que se julgam vir a contribuir para a efectivação da inclusão deste público nos museus. Em Lisboa não existe nenhuma instituição museológica com colecção de artes visuais adaptada em permanência às pessoas com esta deficiência, verificando-se somente a realização de algumas actividades pontuais dirigidas a este público. Considerando uma visita a um museu, são inúmeros os obstáculos que impedem a sua plena fruição, quer através de barreiras arquitectónicas que surgem ao longo do percurso expositivo, quer através de diversas falhas na comunicação, quer através de outras falhas ao nível da sensibilização dos funcionários dos museus. Assumir uma mudança de direcção, empregando meios de comunicação e de informação apropriados e em permanência, o museu cumprirá com sucesso a sua missão ao incluir todas as pessoas na programação museológica. It is intended to contribute to the reduction of the social exclusion and the increase of the access to the knowledge developing several concepts and practical experiences through a case study, carried out in the Museum Gulbenkian and Centre of Modern Art José de Azeredo Perdigão with a group of persons with visual deficiency, who judge to contribute to the effective inclusion of this public in the museums. There is not exist any museologic institution in Lisbon with collection of visual arts adapted in permanence to the persons with this deficiency, when is happening is only the realization of some punctual activities gone to this public. Considering a visit to a museum, there are countless the obstacles that obstruct his full enjoyment, want through architectural barriers that they appear along the expositive distance, want through several faults in the communication, want through other faults at the level of the sensibility of the people of the museums. To assume a change of direction, employing ways of communication and information appropriated and in permanence, the museum will carry out with success in his mission while including all the persons in the museologic planning.
